On Tuesday, November 15, KHRC will host a public meeting at 1:00pm to discuss the draft Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the following programs:

The Home Loan Guarantee for Rural Kansas (HLG) program helps lenders cover the gap between the cost of building or rehabilitating a rural Kansas home and its appraised value. HLG will cover the portion of the loan that exceeds 80% – 125% of the appraised home value, up to $100,000 per home.

KHRC invites you to attend an upcoming webinar regarding the Kansas Homeowner Assistance Fund. This informational session will discuss the program and the application process.

On Friday, September 9, KHRC launched the Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit (KHITC) Program by releasing the KHITC RFP. Applications for the first round of credits will be combined with KHRC’s Moderate Income Housing (MIH) Program and will be due on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Every new lender wanting to participate in the Lender Consortium must attend a training session.  You may register as many persons as necessary for your facility to be properly trained.  If you have any questions, please contact Cynthia Howerton at (785) 217-2025. 

Join KHRC staff at the 2023 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) Public Hearing. The draft can be viewed on our Housing Development or Qualified Allocation Plan page. Public comments will be accepted until September 19th at 5:00 p.m. Please submit your comments to housingdevelopment@kshousingcorp.org.

On August 11, KHRC announced that it would release the Housing Investor Tax Credit (HITC) earlier than anticipated and would make the first round of credits available to communities submitting an MIH application by the September 30, 2022 deadline.
