First Time Homebuyer

Case Study

Aaron and Elizabeth Munoz, along with their four children, are happy to be settled into their new home in Kanopolis. The Munozes had always hoped to return to their family roots in Kanopolis, but the limited inventory made it difficult for them to find a home that could comfortably house the family of six and still fit in their budget. Through the First Time Homebuyer program, KHRC was able to provide down payment and closing cost assistance. The program allowed the Munoz family to find a home that was the right fit and allowed the small community to welcome a new family. With stories like that of the Munoz family, the First Time Homebuyer program is helping support the state’s rural revitalization initiatives while helping deserving families find the safe, affordable housing they need.
