*First Time Homebuyer is defined in the program as those who have never owned a home, or who have not owned a home at least three years prior to purchasing a new one. If you answer yes to this question, an additional question will populate to further determine eligibility.

A displaced homemaker: An adult individual who has not worked full-time in the labor force for several years but has, during such years, worked primarily without remuneration to care for the home and family, is unemployed or underemployed, and is having trouble obtaining or upgrading employment.

A single parent: If you're a single parent who's owned a home recently, but only with your ex-spouse, you could meet the definition of a first-time homebuyer.

The owner of a manufactured home: This can mean you owned a mobile home or another residence that didn't have a permanent foundation.

The First Time Homebuyer program requires participants to pay at least 1%, but no more than 10%, of the home sale price out-of-pocket. For example, if the purchase price of the home is $143,000, the homebuyer(s) would be required to pay at least 1% of the home sale price toward the down payment, which would be $1,430.
