KDFA President Rebecca Floyd and KHRC Executive Director Ryan Vincent announced that Financial ConsultantĀ Kimberley BrownĀ and Chartered Financial AnalystĀ Elizabeth B.A. Miller have been appointed to the Kansas Development Finance Authority (KDFA) and Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) boards of directors. Both new directors were appointed by Governor Laura Kelly. Ms. Miller was recently confirmed by the Kansas Senate and Ms. Brown, who was confirmed by the Confirmation Oversight Committee last fall, was confirmed by the full Senate in January.

Kimberley Brown currently serves as CEO of Financial Mastery Consulting, where she provides retirement and college planning education and training for corporations, nonprofits, colleges, and universities. She formerly served as Executive Director of Corporate Search Technologies where she developed a strategic plan for 20 insurance firms and approximately 75 corporate volunteers and developed programming to engage college students in the financial services career field. She holds more than 20 years of experience in the insurance sales industry and has continued to serve in community leadership roles. Ms. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Washburn University. She holds Series 6 and Series 26 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Ms. Brown replaces Chris Donnelly, whose term ended last year.

Elizabeth B.A. MillerĀ is a Kansas native.Ā  She holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has extensive experience in the investment management industry, including roles as Chief Investment Officer for both the Pooled Money Investment Board and KPERS.Ā  Ms. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Kansas, where she also holds a master’s degree and doctoral degree in American Studies.Ā  She currently resides in Lawrence, Kansas. Ms. Miller replaces former board member Alan Deines who served as KDFA Chair for many years prior to his resignation.

In addition to these newly appointedĀ Directors, two additional members of KHRC’s and KDFA’s boards were reappointed to another term:

Moniqueka HollowayĀ was reappointed for a four-year term. She currently serves as Senior Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement at Heartspring, a Wichita service provider for children with special needs and developmental disabilities. Prior to her time at Heartspring, Moniqueka served for 10 years as Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) Federal Contract and Compliance Manager, where her duties included drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and grants; ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations; and generating and reviewing internal budgets to align with contractual obligations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and a MasterĀ of Business Administration (MBA) from Southwestern College.

Suchitra PadmanabhanĀ serves as Chair of the KDFA and KHRC boards and was reappointed this year. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), she currently works for BC Capital, where she created an asset management platform for fixed income investments and provides advisory services to private equity funds. Previously she served with Security Benefit Group, Deutsche Bank, and Lehman Brothers. She holds degrees from Dartmouth College and the University of Chicago.

Board member Jonathan Small’s term continues through 2027. All board members are Kansans and serve on a volunteer basis.
