Builders and developers in thirteen Kansas communities will receive a combined total of $4,984,000 in Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credits (KHITCs) to develop affordable housing for moderate-income families in rural areas of the state. The awards, made possible through the state’s Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit Program, provides resources to develop housing in rural communities.
Combined with leveraged resources to support the proposed initiatives, the awards represent a total investment of $50,001,329 and a net gain of 151 affordable, quality housing units.
This round of awards will assist with development of 13 projects:
- 4 multifamily rental units in Great Bend
- 40 multifamily duplexes for sale in Salina
- 4 single-family homes in Marion
- 6 multifamily rental units in Abilene
- 1 multifamily rental unit in Atchison
- 2 multifamily rental units in Alma
- 6 multifamily rental units in Columbus
- 10 single-family homes in Columbus
- 6 single-family homes in Harper
- 8 single-family homes in Anthony
- 24 multifamily duplex units for rent in Scott City
- 33 multifamily rental units in Larned
- 7 single-family homes in Scott City
