On April 24, 2025, Governor Kelly signed House Bill 2289, which implements additional requirements regarding the Kansas Affordable Housing Tax Credit (KAHTC). The Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) governs how Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and KAHTCs are awarded across the state. In accordance with Section I.B. of the QAP, KHRC has been working diligently to incorporate the new requirements into the 2025 QAP in a fair and transparent manner for our stakeholders. KHRC invites thoughtful feedback on the proposed amendments from all stakeholders throughout the public comment period. A virtual public hearing will be held on Friday, May 23rd from 10:30-12:00 p.m. Click here to register for the public hearing.
