The State of Kansas will conduct a public hearing to provide an opportunity for citizens to review and comment upon the preliminary draft of the 2022 Action Plan of the 2019 – 2023 Kansas Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan is the State’s policy framework for federal community development and housing programs.

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, a public hearing will be held digitally. The public hearing will be conducted to receive comments on the proposed amended Consolidated Plan and Action Plan located at the link below. The proposed Action Plan will be available for public examination beginning October 1.  Hard copies will be available upon request. The public comment period ends October 31.

Estimated resources available in 2022 will include approximately $15,653,422 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $6,183,639 from the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), $4,207,374 from the Housing Trust Fund (HFT), $1,654,437 from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and $642,139 from the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. Individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency are welcome to attend and participate in the public hearing.
