Developers break ground on 40 new affordable homes in Manhattan

On Nov. 7, Executive Director of Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC), Ryan Vincent, joined with Frontier Development Group, City of Manhattan officials, and Anderson Knight architects to break ground on a new development of 40 new homes for moderate-income households in Manhattan.

This infill housing development of 28 for-sale units and 12 rental units will provide affordable housing for workforce households while revitalizing neighborhoods and fulfilling housing expansion goals for the the City of Manhattan.

The $15 million development is made possible in part through the state-funded Moderate Income Housing (MIH), Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit (KHITC), and Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) programs, administered by KHRC.

The development includes three-bedroom, two-bath homes for households earning between 60% to 150% of the area median income.
