This year, October 30 celebrates the 45th anniversary of Weatherization Day, as well as the Weatherization Assistance Program! The Weatherization Assistance Program was signed into law by President Gerald Ford on August 14, 1976, and over its 45-year history, more than 8.1 million homes have been weatherized, creating healthy homes and lowering energy burden.
In Kansas, the Weatherization Assistance Program is funded through the Department of Energy, Health and Human Services, KHRC, and local utility partners. Discover the benefits of weatherization and how to apply on our website.
